Researcher biography

My name is Ee Liz Puah and I am a PhD student in the School of Psychology at the University of Queensland.

My PhD is a part of a larger project that looks at imitation during infancy, particularly the question of whether this is an innate ability that we have from birth or a behaviour that we develop in our early months. My focus is on factors that might contribute to the latter possibility such as mirror training, mother-baby interactions and culture. Outside of my PhD project, I have worked on and am interested in the many intersections between developmental psychology and other areas such as group membership, social development and pro-environmental behaviours.
