Researcher biography

My name is Ania Ganowicz and I am a PhD candidate in the School of Psychology and the Early Cognitive Development Centre at UQ.

My research interests are comparative and evolutionary psychology, including the cognitive abilities of non-human primates. Specifically, I am interested in mental representations in children and apes. My research is aiming to investigate abstract and context-dependent representations, as well as the use of semantic labels in young children in comparison to the great apes.
