Researcher biography

Hi, my name is Kristyn Sommer. I am a Lecturer of Developmental Psychology in the School of Psychology at UQ.

My research interests span the topics of social learning and technology throughout early childhood. I have a particular interest in how children learn from, and with, social robots and have worked with several child friendly robots including Opie here at UQ and RUBI (who lives in San Diego!)

My current research investigates (1) children’s moral reasoning of social robots and (2) children’s trust in social robots.
