Researcher biography

Mitchell Green is a PhD candidate studying Psychology at UQ.  Mitchell's research interests lie broadly in the field of developmental psychology, focusing specifically on prosocial and compassionate behaviour in children.  He is interested in investigating how children understand, recognise, and develop compassion for others; as well as what factors may encourage or hinder these processes.

Mitchell's current project aims to examine if children will respond compassionately to the distress of another if there is a personal cost to do so.
