Researcher biography

My name is Jane Minogue, and I am a PhD student in the School of Psychology at the University of Queensland.

My primary research interests are in imitation, overimitation, and children’s social and material priorities. Specifically, I am interested in how material rewards (e.g., stickers and toys) impact children’s imitative behaviour in instrumental, redundant, and cultural tasks. My research aims to understand when children will forego material rewards and how changes to the context of imitation tasks interact with this. You can contact me at jane.minogue@uq.edu.au
