Researcher biography

My name is Kelly Kirkland and I am a PhD Candidate in the School of Psychology at UQ.

My research interest is in the field of developmental psychology, with a focus on developmental changes that occur during early and middle childhood. Specifically, I am interested in the development of prosocial behaviour in young children. I am also interested in the impact of economic inequality and socio-economic status on child development.

My current project aims to understand how economic inequality influences children’s prosocial behaviour - see more information here.
